A LITTLE BIT OF WHO WE ARE
Ebert Goldens is run by a husband and wife team, Allen and Brandi Ebert. We have two children, who adore puppies. We married in 2007. Soon after moved to our family farm on the outskirts of St Helens, Oregon. Our family farm was founded in the early 1940's by my husband's grandmother. Our little piece of heaven consists of 17 acres with open meadows and timber to explore. Their are hundreds of acres of timberland behind us. Our neighbor kindly lets us hike, explore, camp and hunt these lands. We couldn't ask for a better setting to raise our family and dogs. Recently we built a new home for our family, just behind our old late 1800's farmhouse. Our dogs and puppies are a part of the family, raised inside our home surrounded by all the hustle and bustle of family life. Our adult dogs take turns of who gets to sleep with mom and dad. Someone should have suggested we buy a king bed for the new house (LOL).
I grew up in a home that raised both shelties and german shepards. When our youngest was born, we made the choice for myself to stay home with the children. I quickly realized I had the potential to bring something back into my life that had been missing for so many years. I yearned to have the comfort and daily laughs that dogs bring to everyone life. I had been secretly harboring this dream for too long. I made the leap with two wonderful souls Cosima and Berkley, our first two golden retrievers. At the same time, my husband Allen was vying to bring home a pug. A lot of his friends had these funny, silly creatures called pugs. At first I was not game. However, fate intervened. A local breeder had pugs for sale, so I thought I'd go take a look. I'm sure you've all heard of love at first sight. Yep one look, and two snuggles later I came home with not one but two sister pugs Daisy and Rosie. My husband was in seventh heaven. It's a crazy house sometimes but I wouldn't trade it for anything. So that's the short story of how we came to breed both Goldens and Pugs.
